In the town of Carthidge, Texas, population 6,533, one entrepreneur stands out for his dedication to providing top-notch sales and repair services for mobile phones, computers, and electronics. Meet Dee, the mastermind behind Dee's Mobile Solutions, the first-ever electronics repair store in town. With a passion for repairing devices dating back to his college days, he has built a thriving business that caters to the needs of the Carthidge community. Born and raised in Carthidge, Dee’s journey in the world of electronics repair began shortly after he graduated with a business management degree in 2015. Even as a child, he had a natural inclination towards fixing things. It was during his college years that his skills truly blossomed when he found himself constantly repairing his girlfriend's, now wife's, broken phones.
Realizing the lack of electronics repair services in his hometown, Dee made the decision to move back after completing college. In 2019, he rented a small booth within an existing business, offering his repair services. He would even go the extra mile, providing on-site repairs for customers in their homes. However, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted this house-to-house business model, forcing Dee to rethink his strategy.
Adapting to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Dee took a significant leap by opening his own store on October 6th, 2021. This marked a milestone for his business, allowing him to have more control over his working environment. “I really don’t like dogs, so now I don’t have to deal with that,” he laughed. Dee was working double time still clocking in as a manager of a Cricket store. He finally got the courage to quit the safety net at cricket and go all in, on himself.
For Dee, the satisfaction of repairing devices and solving people's problems is immeasurable. “I love when someone can’t believe I was able to fix their device,” he gleamed. Dee says his partnership with Certified Cell saves him so much. “Certified Cell saves me time by not having to go out and find phones. I know I can pass on the value to my customers. “Oh and Tyler is an awesome sales rep,” Dee says.
With his current store flourishing, Dee has set his sights on expanding his business. He envisions opening another location in Shelby County, his mother's birthplace, located just 40 minutes away from Carthidge. His dedication to family and community is what makes him a wonderful partner to Certified Cell and a staple in his community.
